As most of you are aware, we had a crash to forums and were down for over two days a while back. We did have to do an upgrade to the vbulletin software to fix the forums and that has created changes, VB no longer provide the hybrid or threaded forums. There are some issues/changes to the forums we are not able to fix or change. Also note the link address change, please let friends and posters know of the changed link to the forums. For now this is the only link available, https://forums.carm.org/vb5/ but if clicking on forum on carm.org homepage it will now send you to this link. (edited to add https: now working.

Again, we are working through some of the posting and viewing issues to learn how to post with the changes, you will have to check and test the different features, icons that have changed. You may also want to go to profile settings, since many of the notifications, information in profile, also to update/edit your avatar by clicking on avatar space, pull down arrow next to login for user settings.

Edit to add "How to read forums, to make it easier."
Pull down arrow next to login name upper right select profile, or user settings when page opens to profile, select link in tab that says Account. Then select/choose options, go down to Conversation Detail Options, Select Display mode Posts, NOT Activity, that selection of Posts will make the pages of discussions go to last post on last page rather than out of order that happens if you choose activity threads. Then be sure to go to bottom and select SAVE Changes in your profile options. You can then follow discussions by going through the pages, to the last page having latest responses. Then click on the other links Privacy, Notifications, to select viewing options, the forums get easier if you open all the tabs or links in your profile, user settings and select options. To join Super Member, pull down arrow next to login name, select User Settings and then click on tab/link at top that says Subscriptions.

Thank you for your patience and God Bless.

    What Chrome Extensions are useful?
Deuteronomy 6:4. Hear, O Israel: The LORD [Jehovah] your God [Elohim] is one LORD [Jehovah].

Is this a linux, ms, or apple device?

Not being a chrome user, the following seems like sensible advice: Im pretty sure I've found out how. Go to the top right corner of your browser, and there should be a little wrench. Click on that, and go to settings. Then scroll down, and there will be "Search Engine" Next to it, there will be "Ask". Click on that, and there will be options; Bing, Yahoo!, Google, Ask. Click on the one you want, and there will be a cross next to each of them when your mouse is above it. Just click the cross and leave it. https://productforums.google.com/for...me/ynSDZC_QdYk

Hi BJ Bear, loved that tv show. I tried that, but it keeps coming back.

Yes, I liked that show too. Oddly, it was through a board update that my user name changed from BJ -Bear to BJ Bear. The nic was originally to indicate that BJ is not a bear.

Well, I'm sure it can be removed. It would be helpful if you posted what the operating system is on the computer you are asking for help with. For example, is it a linux os, and ms os or an apple os?

              Hi Daniel,

Ok, again I am not a windows user or a chrome user so if you do any of the following you do so at your own risk.

For a quick and easy test you can create a new chrome profile or chrome user with the procedure found here. (I tested it on Iridium (an open source browser based on chrome) and it worked great.) If you log into a google account when using chrome try using the new user or new profile first without logging into your google account. If everything is as you like it then great. If you do use a google account then you can try using the new profile/user with your google account and see what happens. I'm suggesting testing in that order because I'm also not a google account user and don't know if logging into your account will set your browser back to Ask search.

If the above doesn't work for you then post that result. This seems to me to be the easiest non-destructive way to test and perhaps fix the problem, but there are other more involved procedures to solve the problem.

Thank You, I will try that. I read somewhere that malware bytes can fix the problem, have you heard of it?
