As most of you are aware, we had a crash to forums and were down for over two days a while back. We did have to do an upgrade to the vbulletin software to fix the forums and that has created changes, VB no longer provide the hybrid or threaded forums. There are some issues/changes to the forums we are not able to fix or change. Also note the link address change, please let friends and posters know of the changed link to the forums. For now this is the only link available, https://forums.carm.org/vb5/ but if clicking on forum on carm.org homepage it will now send you to this link. (edited to add https: now working.

Again, we are working through some of the posting and viewing issues to learn how to post with the changes, you will have to check and test the different features, icons that have changed. You may also want to go to profile settings, since many of the notifications, information in profile, also to update/edit your avatar by clicking on avatar space, pull down arrow next to login for user settings.

Edit to add "How to read forums, to make it easier."
Pull down arrow next to login name upper right select profile, or user settings when page opens to profile, select link in tab that says Account. Then select/choose options, go down to Conversation Detail Options, Select Display mode Posts, NOT Activity, that selection of Posts will make the pages of discussions go to last post on last page rather than out of order that happens if you choose activity threads. Then be sure to go to bottom and select SAVE Changes in your profile options. You can then follow discussions by going through the pages, to the last page having latest responses. Then click on the other links Privacy, Notifications, to select viewing options, the forums get easier if you open all the tabs or links in your profile, user settings and select options. To join Super Member, pull down arrow next to login name, select User Settings and then click on tab/link at top that says Subscriptions.

Thank you for your patience and God Bless.

If those gifts are for today, 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing [Gifts] to each one individually as He wills.

But of course IT DOES NOT SAY 'indeed no one ANYWHERE EVER understands' anyone.

And in ACTS 2, THEY DID understand what was spoken in tongues. . .

IN LANGUAGES THAT WERE FOREIGN TO THE SPEAKERS!

What foreign languages WERE THOSE?. . .?

God's Word (Scripture) will convince me. YOUR argument is your own.

I want to be so full of Jesus that if a mosquito bites me, he will fly away singing 'there's power in the blood. . .' (author unknown)

I really did not buy in to Cessation-ism until recently... I honestly did not give it much thought. Personally, I have experienced many answered prayers for various issues, including the healing of my wife from Cancer.

Every Christian, unless you are a whacked out extremist, holds to some level of cessation-ism. Those whacked out ones would be cultists and weirdos...

So, how much of a cessationist are you?
By YOUR standards, obviously, I'm A "Whacked out EXTREMIST".

You're forgetting the one apostle who is still alive:

                Heb 3:1
Therefore, holy brothers, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess.

He distributes his gifts to his people.

So, how much of a cessationist are you?
I'm the kind who doesn't put limits on his God.
Allen (Unless noted otherwise, Bible quotations are from the 1984 edition of the NIV)

Like I asked a few people, is any more scripture being written?

Nope. But God STILL speaks to his people, and does through 'em what He's ALWAYS done from the beginning.

Heb 11:1, Rom 10:17, and Mark 11:22-24 are still God's Word.

Yes, but not with ink, more believers are having more Scripture than the odd memory verse written on their heart...see 2Co 3:3-6
                          (3) Forasmuch as you are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
                          (4) And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
                          (5) Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
                          (6) Who also has made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter kills, but the spirit gives life.
Who among us is eternally sentient of the past, present, and future except Christ Himself.
Colossians 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Nope, I'm an Italian (on my father's side anyway).

Canonizing MORE "Scripture" (not that plenty of folks haven't tried to do just that) is unnecessary, and totally unrelated to "Cessationism".

It is completely related to Cessationism... One of the attributes of the Apostolic Five-Fold Ministry is writing inspired words...

Which, of course, has been going on since the beginning. Whether it's "Canonized" or not isn't important. Inspired Words by Derek Prince (or YOU, or ME) carry the same spiritual weight and authority as Inspired Words from Moses, Peter or Paul.
