As most of you are aware, we had a crash to forums and were down for over two days a while back. We did have to do an upgrade to the vbulletin software to fix the forums and that has created changes, VB no longer provide the hybrid or threaded forums. There are some issues/changes to the forums we are not able to fix or change. Also note the link address change, please let friends and posters know of the changed link to the forums. For now this is the only link available, https://forums.carm.org/vb5/ but if clicking on forum on carm.org homepage it will now send you to this link. (edited to add https: now working.

Again, we are working through some of the posting and viewing issues to learn how to post with the changes, you will have to check and test the different features, icons that have changed. You may also want to go to profile settings, since many of the notifications, information in profile, also to update/edit your avatar by clicking on avatar space, pull down arrow next to login for user settings.

Edit to add "How to read forums, to make it easier."
Pull down arrow next to login name upper right select profile, or user settings when page opens to profile, select link in tab that says Account. Then select/choose options, go down to Conversation Detail Options, Select Display mode Posts, NOT Activity, that selection of Posts will make the pages of discussions go to last post on last page rather than out of order that happens if you choose activity threads. Then be sure to go to bottom and select SAVE Changes in your profile options. You can then follow discussions by going through the pages, to the last page having latest responses. Then click on the other links Privacy, Notifications, to select viewing options, the forums get easier if you open all the tabs or links in your profile, user settings and select options. To join Super Member, pull down arrow next to login name, select User Settings and then click on tab/link at top that says Subscriptions.

Thank you for your patience and God Bless.

As you have been shown before Mark 7 and Romans 14 shows all food is clean but Romans 1 and 1 Cor 6 and 1 Tim 1 shows homosexual acts are wicked and detestable for God's people, though lovely enough for you. But my issue is you have been shown this and cant accept it, so what is your problem exactly to quote other scriptures when you deny the ones we put to you? What is it about your idol of homosexuality that makes you so intolerant of evidence?

Romans 13:1-7 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.

Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer.

Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience.

you just keep posting your faulty baseless claim becuase you too intolerant to accept the evidence.
Your claims are out of date.

The basis of my claim: Romans 13:1-7

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. 18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made,so that people are without excuse.

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised.Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Romans 13 specifically mentions paying taxes. On the other hand Romans 1 specifically condemns homosexual acts. QED
Of course God's law applies to all countries regardless of whether the country allows homosexual acts

Since you have already been told this several times, trying to bash others over the head with your idea of the context is not really convincing you is it.

It's amusing, but unconscionable, how you avoid reading that your personal pet peeves will subject you to God's wrath.

Those passages are ancient and have been updated. Current law is required to avoid God's wrath.

I will take my chance with confidence.. good luck with your ideas.

Those passages are ancient and have been updated. Current law is required to avoid God's wrath.
Romans 13 refers specifically to paying taxes. One cannot use this passage to suggest that Christians simply obey all the laws of whatever country they are in. What then for a Christian in Iran who would be deceived by your proposal and support the killing of homosexuals?

Your argument doesn't work to imply that Romans 13 means obeying the authorities in paying taxes should include either supporting homosexual acts or throwing gays off buildings, depending which country one is in. That merely hands all authority to human government.
But the New Testament scripture doesnt support homosexual acts, or killing anyone! It teaches the opposite.

Also there is no evidence to suggest the passages that exclude and condemn homosexual acts have been 'updated' All the Biblical evidence insists they haven't. This is the message once delivered.
The chronology of the New Testament https://www.biblestudytools.com/reso...testament.html shows the same author condemns homosexual acts 6-7 years later. 1 Tim 1:10 "8 Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully,9 understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, 10 the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers,[b] liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound[c]doctrine, 11 in accordance with the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted."

You are free to dream all you like but not waste everyone's time with it without any evidence for it.
Indeed Romans 16 says "7I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. 18 For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites,[f] and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive."

Nope. No such thing in the Biblical testimony except for paying taxes.
1 Peter tells believers not to use the freedom as a cover for evil as you seem to be suggesting, and it says human authorities to punish those who do wrong and praise those who do good. As everyone can see from the scriptures, not least in the OP, homosexual acts are against God's creation purpose and detestable so punishable.
                        Homosexual acts are condemned.

As everyone can see from the scriptures, not least in the OP, homosexual acts are against God's creation purpose and detestable so punishable.
                          Homosexual acts are condemned.
That is in the old law and written code, which is vanished in the distant past (2000 years and counting) and obsoleted by the new way of the Spirit in Grace.
It's sad that people cling to the obsolete law and old written code.

                          Hebrews 8:13

In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

                          Romans 7:6

But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code.

Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good. For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people. Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.

Romans 1 isnt the old law and the prohibition of homosexual acts is throughout since it is against God's creation purpose for man and woman in union.
