As most of you are aware, we had a crash to forums and were down for over two days. We did have to do an upgrade to the vbulletin software to fix the forums and that has created changes, VB no longer provide the hybrid or threaded forums. There are some issues/changes to the forums we are not able to fix or change. Also note the link address change, please let friends and posters know of the changed link to the forums. For now this is the only link available, https://forums.carm.org/vb5/ but if clicking on forum on carm.org homepage it will now send you to this link. (edited to add https: now working.

Again, we are working through some of the posting and viewing issues to learn how to post with the changes, you will have to check and test the different features, icons that have changed. You may also want to go to profile settings, since many of the notifications, information in profile, also to update/edit your avatar by clicking on avatar space, pull down arrow next to login for user settings.

Edit to add "How to read forums, to make it easier."
Pull down arrow next to login name upper right select profile, or user settings when page opens to profile, select link in tab that says Account. Then select/choose options, go down to Conversation Detail Options, Select Display mode Posts, NOT Activity, that selection of Posts will make the pages of discussions go to last post on last page rather than out of order that happens if you choose activity threads. Then be sure to go to bottom and select SAVE Changes in your profile options. You can then follow discussions by going through the pages, to the last page having latest responses. Then click on the other links Privacy, Notifications, to select viewing options, the forums get easier if you open all the tabs or links in your profile, user settings and select options. To join Super Member, pull down arrow next to login name, select User Settings and then click on tab/link at top that says Subscriptions.

Thank you for your patience and God Bless.

Scholar Victor Davis Hanson on Tucker tonight: What we are watching is a slow motion coup by the Left against President Trump.

Of course we know that, and it will not work.

Trump already has an enormous amount of money, he doesn't need more, plus your analysis is wrong. He's simplifying the tax code and doing away with a lot of loopholes through which the fabulously rich save money on taxes.

I still remember how they heralded her nomination as the '"first woman candidate" (not true, of course) - but even so - she had to cheat her way to the top because it's the only way to win in the "men's club" of the Dem party, where women do the grunt-work and the moan-work but the men take care of business. Hillary on the other hand had already sold out America to the highest bidder, and had already received payment for our country in her foundation.

Yes, that whole process was just a spectacle to behold.

On the other side of the fence, the Reps voters put Trump at the top because all the other options were retread establishment people - all "gentlemen doormats" - NONE OF WHOM could have beaten the Clinton attack machine.

And in the end, we have a total outsider who spat on the political process, didn't campaign "traditionally" - used his own money so he wasn't beholden to the donors, attacked below-the -belt like his opponent, fought the media, the Rep donors, the Dems, the libs, the folks at Fox News and HIS OWN PARTY and ended up BEATING THEM ALL.

And what was said in the final debate - that Trump would not commit to "accepting the outcome" because they believed Hillary had already won. They accused him of being disruptive and unpatriotic and all manner of foul names. And how ironic that after the election - it is those same libs/Dems who refuse to accept the outcome. How outrageous is that?

Yes, this one is definitely for the record books, in every sense of the word.

Moreover, it's been a total blast watching the left become totally and completely unhinged.
I would suggest that if Clinton and Trump were the best two nominations that could be found, it does not say a great deal about your system. However, Palast made the observation that you have the best democracy money can buy, and his 2012 book Billionaires and Bandits might prove remarkably prescient.

Well no. Robert Mueller was appointed Special Counsel by a Republican, Rod Rosenstein, who was himself appointed Deputy AG by the Trump Administration. There is no "slow motion coup."

Either way, he was impeached. He wasn't removed.

Impeachment is not a criminal due process. it's a political process. If there's not enough momentum countrywide to drive it, there's no discussion.

It's not enough to pretend there's a crime committed, or take the word of "unnamed sources". There has to be an actual crime, with actual evidence, and there has to be the
political motivation to make it work.

On the third, you have no prayer. Give it up, and get over it.

Kind of like people are "making up" the illusion that crimes have been committed, yet nearly a year later there's still no evidence.

Point being - the Trump/Russia thing is a media concoction. It's not real. They just made it up.

No, you can't prove a negative, but you also can't prosecute with no evidence. You can't even pursue it without probable cause. You're only complaint is that Trump won an election.

Tell me, is it a crime to conscript the help of another country to win an election? Is that on the books somewhere? A felony? A misdemeanor? No?

So even if Trump in fact mapped out a winning strategy with Putin's help, no crime has been committed because no laws exist for it.

Like Al Gore said when he accepted money for meetings with tea with the POTUS,, "there's no controlling legal authority" and that was the end of it.

And you have absolute conviction that he is guilty of something, regardless of the lack of evidence.

Due process in America is based on the presumption of innocence. You don't seem to be on board with that.

If this was you under fire, wouldn't you want more evidence and corroboration than what is available against Trump?

The fact remains that the Dems, not the Reps, are the ones who took the conversation to the gutter. Trump was simply responding to them.

After the election, the rise of paid protestors, pussyhats, bribing of electors to break the law, and other lawless behavior by the Dems/Libs further took it into the gutter.

The Dems positioned themselves as the party of hate. They have always been the party of hate, but now with burning, unhinged rants and calls for fascist intervention, it is clear the Dems/Libs are stepping into their long-denied role as the party of hate.

Prediction - we will see more and more unhinged hatred from the left, no different than when a virus is present in the body. The body raises its temperature to fight the virus. Trump's actions are to finally enforce laws on the books that have been neglected by prior POTUS - and those depending on this lack of enforcement are fighting back.

Tax cuts have no effect on the rich. Trump was avoiding taxes with the existing tax code. Changing it won't help him avoid more.

nearly 80 percent of taxes are collected from people who make $50k or more. 40 percent of taxes are paid by people who make $400k or more. These folks are paying more than their "fair share". What additional government services are they getting in return for these massive contributions, compared to the other 85 percent of the country (those who make $50k or less) who pay a relative pittance.

That is the purest demented garbage. It was Trump that did all the name-calling on the trail. The cretins loved it. It was he who started attacking an opponent's wife and father. The cretins ate it up. It was Trump who used obscenities in speeches, a step that even the cretins could not support, though I'll bet some of them loved it.

That's only a sample of the guttersnipe acting naturally and the cretins loving it. Since then he has gotten worse. Trump arose from the gutter, lives in the gutter and cannot leave the gutter. The fact he lives in the WH is completely irrelevant.

Janet Ann Napolitano born November 29, 1957) is an American politician, lawyer, and university administrator who served as the 21st Governer of Arizona from 2003 to 2009 and United States Secretary of Homeland Security from 2009 to 2013, under President Barack Obama. She has been president of the University of California system since September 2013, shortly after she resigned as Secretary of Homeland Security.

Currently, a University of California internal audit has revealed some rather shocking behavior on the part of Janet Napolitano, president of the UC system. Her office has requested tuition increases. Student debt is reaching all-time highs in California. At a time that the over-taxed state is facing billion-dollar budget deficits, some retired UC professors are reported to have been earning more than $300,000 in pensions while returning as emeriti instructors; this maxes out their total state compensation at more than a half-million dollars a year. And yet Napolitano apparently failed to disclose that she had accumulated a slush fund of some $175 million in reserve cash.

What's the deal with you an name-calling? Who accused Trump of mishandling women - actually mishandling them, based on some callous words, compared to the ACTUAL salacious facts we were treated to daily during the Clinton years. Hillary is the author of Bimbo Eruptions - to utterly destroy any woman making a sexual claim against her husband.

No, the facts are clear - everything Anita Hill complained against as "inappropriate behavior" became dinnertime conversation during the Clinton years. They are criminals in every way imaginable. Nobody ever caught Trump using airplanes specifically populated with underage girls for in-flight sex. Bill does it all the time, and folks like you love him for it.

Calling Hillary a crook - is name-calling - or calling her what she is?

The fact remains, the Clinton attack engine originated EVERY reference or mention of sexual or questionable activity. Trump simply responded to it.

You never attended one of his rallies. How do you know what he talked about?

Did you ever meet one of the paid operatives sent to his rallies to create disruption?
