As most of you are aware, we had a crash to forums and were down for over two days a while back. We did have to do an upgrade to the vbulletin software to fix the forums and that has created changes, VB no longer provide the hybrid or threaded forums. There are some issues/changes to the forums we are not able to fix or change. Also note the link address change, please let friends and posters know of the changed link to the forums. For now this is the only link available, https://forums.carm.org/vb5/ but if clicking on forum on carm.org homepage it will now send you to this link. (edited to add https: now working.

Again, we are working through some of the posting and viewing issues to learn how to post with the changes, you will have to check and test the different features, icons that have changed. You may also want to go to profile settings, since many of the notifications, information in profile, also to update/edit your avatar by clicking on avatar space, pull down arrow next to login for user settings.

Edit to add "How to read forums, to make it easier."
Pull down arrow next to login name upper right select profile, or user settings when page opens to profile, select link in tab that says Account. Then select/choose options, go down to Conversation Detail Options, Select Display mode Posts, NOT Activity, that selection of Posts will make the pages of discussions go to last post on last page rather than out of order that happens if you choose activity threads. Then be sure to go to bottom and select SAVE Changes in your profile options. You can then follow discussions by going through the pages, to the last page having latest responses. Then click on the other links Privacy, Notifications, to select viewing options, the forums get easier if you open all the tabs or links in your profile, user settings and select options. To join Super Member, pull down arrow next to login name, select User Settings and then click on tab/link at top that says Subscriptions.

Thank you for your patience and God Bless.

Notice how these morons always run to the Bible and blame it for their mental "dysphoria", aka mental disorder that causes them confusion when they see Bruce Jenner on a cereal box and Caitlyn Jenner on the cover of Time with his "Bravery award" for being so brave wearing such a slutty looking dress, or whatever brave act it was he did.

The OP is WAAY behind the times though. Liberals have invented at least 50 genders and the OP only claims there's 6. But at least they finally dropped that "I was born this way" nonsense and agree now that people really do "choose" their sexual perversion.

Nekeivah/נְקֵבָה: This term is derived from the word for a crevice and probably refers to a vaginal opening. It is usually translated as “female” in English.

Androgynos/אַנְדְּרוֹגִינוֹס: A person who has both “male” and “female” sexual characteristics. 149 references in Mishna and Talmud (1st-8th Centuries CE); 350 in classical midrash and Jewish law codes (2nd -16th Centuries CE).

Tumtum/ טֻומְטוּם A person whose sexual characteristics are indeterminate or obscured. 181 references in Mishna and Talmud; 335 in classical midrash and Jewish law codes.

Ay’lonit/איילונית: A person who is identified as “female” at birth but develops “male” characteristics at puberty and is infertile. 80 references in Mishna and Talmud; 40 in classical midrash and Jewish law codes.

Saris/סריס: A person who is identified as “male” at birth but develops “female” characteristics as puberty and/or is lacking a penis. A saris can be “naturally” a saris (saris hamah), or become one through human intervention (saris adam). 156 references in mishna and Talmud; 379 in classical midrash and Jewish law codes.

Which of these were based on "feelings"?

"So how did we get to this point, where the assumption has become that only male and female exist? It's a classic example of commonality being equated to superiority. Because male and female are the two most common categories, they were assumed to be "better," rather than "typical." As we have come to understand the complexities of gender more and more in secular society, these Judaic classifications are beginning to appear more and more often and we can clearly see that our ancestors were quite progressive when it comes to gender."

Could it be that if you have a binary idea of gender, probably derived from your upbringing and justified by passages in the Bible, you have been wrong all this time? It seems that Classical Judaism understood gender far better, and we are moving towards a better and more fitting understanding in secular society today.
How is it "better"? How is it "progressive "? Progressing to what?

For bozo bonobos who mistakenly think humans are apes,
Thse 'bozo bonobos' you have invented, at least they understand facts
how many different genders do apes have in the savage wild? Forty?
I don't think non-human apes understand the difference between gender and sex, but you could ask Kiri:

This has no relevance. You are conflating the fact that in Classical Judaism more genders were recognised with how you contend gender is being defined now. The question is actually do you think that recognising only female and male is correct or should we recognise more genders, however we choose to define them.

To treat people with respect and to grant them equal rights is to be better. Progressive means to advance in terms of social reform-usually more inclusive - the end goal is not defined, but I would suggest a global equality of how people are treated

I showed on another defunct website how God's general (genesis 3:15, revelation 20: 1-3) and General Joab were gender neutral. I am not keen on going through that again, but I am confident that I got it right.

                              How they're defined is relevant.

Trying to use ancient terms based on characteristics to support the "progressive " terms based on feelings.......that's conflating....

No you didn't. And of course you won't attempt it again because what you claim is false and you've never shown any such thing.
