As most of you are aware, we had a crash to forums and were down for over two days a while back. We did have to do an upgrade to the vbulletin software to fix the forums and that has created changes, VB no longer provide the hybrid or threaded forums. There are some issues/changes to the forums we are not able to fix or change. Also note the link address change, please let friends and posters know of the changed link to the forums. For now this is the only link available, https://forums.carm.org/vb5/ but if clicking on forum on carm.org homepage it will now send you to this link. (edited to add https: now working.

Again, we are working through some of the posting and viewing issues to learn how to post with the changes, you will have to check and test the different features, icons that have changed. You may also want to go to profile settings, since many of the notifications, information in profile, also to update/edit your avatar by clicking on avatar space, pull down arrow next to login for user settings.

Edit to add "How to read forums, to make it easier."
Pull down arrow next to login name upper right select profile, or user settings when page opens to profile, select link in tab that says Account. Then select/choose options, go down to Conversation Detail Options, Select Display mode Posts, NOT Activity, that selection of Posts will make the pages of discussions go to last post on last page rather than out of order that happens if you choose activity threads. Then be sure to go to bottom and select SAVE Changes in your profile options. You can then follow discussions by going through the pages, to the last page having latest responses. Then click on the other links Privacy, Notifications, to select viewing options, the forums get easier if you open all the tabs or links in your profile, user settings and select options. To join Super Member, pull down arrow next to login name, select User Settings and then click on tab/link at top that says Subscriptions.

Thank you for your patience and God Bless.

So there are people looking at a future of wind, solar or hydro power and that is their focus, who grudgingly tolerate socialist-globalists in their midst.
Economic decisions don't need "movements" but Communists do. There in lies the problem.

The funny thing is, they will eventually embrace the label, counter-intuitive counter culture, they will claim. They fire on all the correct cylinders. They would be better off sticking with the Socialist label.

Nah, just communist ideas dressed up as great new plans!
Communists are all about control, and what better rationale than the environment. I may have to take up smoking so as to delay my execution by the smoking time of at least one cigarette.

Your folks are so amenable to moral panics. Concern for climate change = at risk for communist infiltration. Your point is 'we can't care about climate change cuz it's got communist cooties'.

Republicans and conservatives are also very concerned about climate change. Using your logic, their participation should make concern for climate change a conservative thing.

Have you noticed that you have to spend a lot of time each day reading these blogs and memes just so you can keep on believing them? It's like failing to go to church for a few months, your faith suffers without regular inculcation.

Why are you worried about people that don't fall for the abundance of false predictions from your religious movement?

However, the warming is so far manifesting itself more in winters which are less cold than in much hotter summers. According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East ******,within a few years winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event”.

“Children just aren’t going to know what snow is,” he said.
Our school district set a record. We had a snow day in November. Yesterday was buses running late day.

              Your Marxist units are failing.

No, the green movement. Science isn't a movement, but communism is.

I have good news for you indeed. Feel free to care about climate change all the live long day. It may be exhausting, but go ahead and knock yourself out. Caring isn't a movement either.

Republicans and conservatives are also very concerned about climate change.
You are arguing that the green movement is comprised of Republicans and conservative? Not so much, really.

Using your logic, their participation should make concern for climate change a conservative thing.
If I'm going to farm my thinking out perhaps I should get the name of whoever does your thinking.

No. But should that ever come to pass, I'll be sure to alert you. I do however know what I've learned with a fair amount of life experience, and can reduce that to a search string, and find someone who has made a good argument showing that to be the case it in a split second. That way I don't have to reinvent the wheel.

It's like failing to go to church for a few months, your faith suffers without regular inculcation.
When you talk to someone you love, do you call that an inculcation or a conversation? Just curious.
