As most of you are aware, we had a crash to forums and were down for over two days a while back. We did have to do an upgrade to the vbulletin software to fix the forums and that has created changes, VB no longer provide the hybrid or threaded forums. There are some issues/changes to the forums we are not able to fix or change. Also note the link address change, please let friends and posters know of the changed link to the forums. For now this is the only link available, https://forums.carm.org/vb5/ but if clicking on forum on carm.org homepage it will now send you to this link. (edited to add https: now working.

Again, we are working through some of the posting and viewing issues to learn how to post with the changes, you will have to check and test the different features, icons that have changed. You may also want to go to profile settings, since many of the notifications, information in profile, also to update/edit your avatar by clicking on avatar space, pull down arrow next to login for user settings.

Edit to add "How to read forums, to make it easier."
Pull down arrow next to login name upper right select profile, or user settings when page opens to profile, select link in tab that says Account. Then select/choose options, go down to Conversation Detail Options, Select Display mode Posts, NOT Activity, that selection of Posts will make the pages of discussions go to last post on last page rather than out of order that happens if you choose activity threads. Then be sure to go to bottom and select SAVE Changes in your profile options. You can then follow discussions by going through the pages, to the last page having latest responses. Then click on the other links Privacy, Notifications, to select viewing options, the forums get easier if you open all the tabs or links in your profile, user settings and select options. To join Super Member, pull down arrow next to login name, select User Settings and then click on tab/link at top that says Subscriptions.

Thank you for your patience and God Bless.

  • Apologies called for?

Does Chris Cuomo need to apologize to the family of Fredo Corleone; and does Don Lemon need to apologize to male poll dancers? Sometimes it's hard for those of us on the right to unwind the proprieties of this bold new world.

No he needs to apologize to his 9 year old daughter for all the F bombs. He needs apologize to common sense for claiming Fredo is a slur. Its not. If it was a slur we wouldnt be writing "Fredo". We don't write slurs do we? Its the "N word" or the "F word".

I get it though nobody wants to be referred to as Fredo. I can see Cuomo being angry about it and I can see why he's angry about being called that to his face but he has to control himself.

True, probably most people don't want to be referred to as Fredo. Thing is.... Cuomo has literally referred to HIMSELF as Fredo......https://nypost.com/2019/08/13/chris-...dio-interview/

The poor kid is going to believe what? I hope she has better sense than her father.

No doubt all those allusions to Shakespeare were slurs too.

It's grounded in the nature of the real problem. The elite believe all rules are there to protect them, not their inferiors. The 60 million Americans who elected Donald Trump are not legitimate because they didn't deliver what the elite wanted. The elite have had the market for ridicule cornered, for 50 years that I can remember. They are not about to let that become a two way street, are they?

As I understand it, it was a bit like, offing Al Franken. You know, nothing personal.

That's an excellent point the millions who voted for, trump are disregarded and the left wonders why decent people don't like them.

Which gets to another point, they don't care what ordinary people think about them. They truly believe their power insulates them from the indignity of caring about what their inferiors think about them. Like the state of Illinois for example. There is a movement to kick Chicago and Cook County out of the state. Remove Cook County and Illinois is a conservative state. The elite believe they are entitled to rule over the entire State for the next hundred years like the last as though they were so many feudal lords.

That was just courtesy heads up. He didn't want him to actually be surprised when he was being executed. You know like Al Franken?

Franken chose to resign rather than defend himself; I don't feel any pity for him.

Just like Michael Corleone. I understand completely. You don't what the whole Democrat Party to be disgraced with talk about Franken. Same with Michael and Fredo.

Lemony doesn't need to apologize. At least not till all whites everywhere apologize to him first, for their skin color.

Guido...er.....Fredo doesn't need to apologize for his toxic masculinity, lefties need a few macho men around to remind them of what they will have to do themselves after they turn the whole world into a bunch of people named Pat.

I need to apologize to Stuart Smalley, I should have told him to wait it out, get all outraged over something, they will forget.

But first I need to apologize for my birth year, which was obviously too early, before I move on to my race and class selection, and other related failures.

That would be good if they could manage "macho," but if you viewed that clip, it raises the legitimate question of what exactly do you have to say to someone in New York to get punched in the face? I think I've seem more serious third graders squaring off in the school yard.

As though they remember he ever existed.
