As most of you are aware, we had a crash to forums and were down for over two days a while back. We did have to do an upgrade to the vbulletin software to fix the forums and that has created changes, VB no longer provide the hybrid or threaded forums. There are some issues/changes to the forums we are not able to fix or change. Also note the link address change, please let friends and posters know of the changed link to the forums. For now this is the only link available, https://forums.carm.org/vb5/ but if clicking on forum on carm.org homepage it will now send you to this link. (edited to add https: now working.

Again, we are working through some of the posting and viewing issues to learn how to post with the changes, you will have to check and test the different features, icons that have changed. You may also want to go to profile settings, since many of the notifications, information in profile, also to update/edit your avatar by clicking on avatar space, pull down arrow next to login for user settings.

Edit to add "How to read forums, to make it easier."
Pull down arrow next to login name upper right select profile, or user settings when page opens to profile, select link in tab that says Account. Then select/choose options, go down to Conversation Detail Options, Select Display mode Posts, NOT Activity, that selection of Posts will make the pages of discussions go to last post on last page rather than out of order that happens if you choose activity threads. Then be sure to go to bottom and select SAVE Changes in your profile options. You can then follow discussions by going through the pages, to the last page having latest responses. Then click on the other links Privacy, Notifications, to select viewing options, the forums get easier if you open all the tabs or links in your profile, user settings and select options. To join Super Member, pull down arrow next to login name, select User Settings and then click on tab/link at top that says Subscriptions.

Thank you for your patience and God Bless.

  • New Protestant Reformation...

How do we start a New Protestant Reformation; and who's door do we nail it to? Could the next Great Awakening not be occurring because we are here nailing our protests on virtual doors?
Isaiah 53:10-11 NKJV 'When You make His soul an offering for sin, God shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied.'

What was wrong with the original meticulously decreed Protestant Reformation which now requires a new one?

Have you read any of these books ?

If so you will understand reform is a constant for the Church at large.

      The Body by Colson
      In His Steps by sheldon
The Gospel according to Jesus by MacAuthor

And there are many other such books that are similar in nature but these are what came to mind that I have in my library when reading your comment. Different era different issues.

      hope this helps !!!
His true identity as both Lord (κύριος used by the LXX to translate Yahweh) and God (θεός used by the LXX to translate Elohim)netbible John 20:28[In John's writings] Of the approximately 70 instances in which ουτος has a personal referent, as many as 44 of them (almost 2/3) refer to the Son. Of the remainder most imply some sort of positive connection with the Son.What is most significant is that NEVER is the Father the referent. 1 John 5:20, Wallace

Reform - make changes in.....in order to improve it.

psalms 119:89 "LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven."

Settled - set, established, fixed, stationary.

1 Jn 3:10......... whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God.........

Oh how could I ever forget you belong to the PERFECT church , the church of christ and those who don't belong to that cult are damned to hell. Thanks for participating and since you folks attain sinless perfection in this life you have no need for confession of your sins.

But wait John tells us such things are a LIE and those who believe it are deceived and there is no truth in them as per 1 John 1:6-9.

Indeed the COC more than any other denomination needs REFORM.

              hope this helps !!!

I think you are right. These conversations, while seeming to be fruitless, are probably setting fires in people's hearts for change.
                by faith we understand...
Didn't I tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?

My point being that God's word is fixed, set and cannot be changed by man. If man can change God's word, then God's word is useless, worthless, nothing. Yet man perverts God's word by changing it and that is how there ends up being 1000's of religious groups that all contradict each other over doctrinal issues instead of there being one body and one faith Eph 4:4-5. God's one body/one church is perfect as Paul told the Ephesians the church is without spot or wrinkle. And that one body goes by the one faith and any change from that one faith would lead to nothing but error. Where does man think he gets the authority/power to change God's word, create many different faiths and many different bodies?

I can agree with the above 100%.
