As most of you are aware, we had a crash to forums and were down for over two days a while back. We did have to do an upgrade to the vbulletin software to fix the forums and that has created changes, VB no longer provide the hybrid or threaded forums. There are some issues/changes to the forums we are not able to fix or change. Also note the link address change, please let friends and posters know of the changed link to the forums. For now this is the only link available, https://forums.carm.org/vb5/ but if clicking on forum on carm.org homepage it will now send you to this link. (edited to add https: now working.

Again, we are working through some of the posting and viewing issues to learn how to post with the changes, you will have to check and test the different features, icons that have changed. You may also want to go to profile settings, since many of the notifications, information in profile, also to update/edit your avatar by clicking on avatar space, pull down arrow next to login for user settings.

Edit to add "How to read forums, to make it easier."
Pull down arrow next to login name upper right select profile, or user settings when page opens to profile, select link in tab that says Account. Then select/choose options, go down to Conversation Detail Options, Select Display mode Posts, NOT Activity, that selection of Posts will make the pages of discussions go to last post on last page rather than out of order that happens if you choose activity threads. Then be sure to go to bottom and select SAVE Changes in your profile options. You can then follow discussions by going through the pages, to the last page having latest responses. Then click on the other links Privacy, Notifications, to select viewing options, the forums get easier if you open all the tabs or links in your profile, user settings and select options. To join Super Member, pull down arrow next to login name, select User Settings and then click on tab/link at top that says Subscriptions.

Thank you for your patience and God Bless.

Hell is a Place of Eternal Burning - Those Condemned Will Experience Hell Forever

It is written in the Holy Bible:
    - eternal fire - Matthew 25:41
    - And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever - Revelation 14:11
    - where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched - Mark 9:48
    - eternal destruction - 2 Thessalonians 1:9 - This means the destruction will last forever. There will be no loss of awareness. Those condemned will experience hell forever, unending.

.....as we physically know it, anyway.

"Time" does not exist in the next life. Not as we know it anyway.

God is not a physical being, and so does not experience time.
It's a bit hard to explain that to sheep herders, so "forever and ever" and "eternal" and "Everlasting" are all reasonable substitutes.
"Time" does not exist in the next life. Not as we know it anyway.

Satan and "Hell" will be tossed into the lake of fire to be annihilated.
It would be a lake of ice cubes, if "preservation" was the goal.

But it's not a lake of Dry Ice cubes. It's a lake of fire for the purpose of eliminating things.
    That's what Fire does.

    Both true.
'Hellfire" is an Obscenity borrowed from pagan religions and pasted into the Bible by the Roman Government's Church- the Roman Catholic Church....

Hell is an imprecise word that has changed meanings in our English culture since Danté. Hell used to mean the waiting room for the dead in the same way Sheol and Hades are used. The wicked RETURN (back to where they had come from) to Sheol, to wait for judgment: Ps 9:17 (English Standard Version) The wicked shall RETURN to Sheol, all the nations that forget God. Then hell came to mean in the common mind the eternal state of the outer darkness from which there is no return as that place is now in the outer darkness also.

What casting death and hell into the lake of fire is saying is that the cause of death and suffering, ie all evil, and the waiting room where all the evil dead reside will be cast into the outer darkness, ie outside of GOD's created reality. The outer darkness is the where; the lake of fire is how the outer darkness is experienced.

When God reconciles all things, death and Hell are annihilated in the Lake of Fire and no longer exist.

    I don't think so................

NKJV [MATTHEW 13:37] He answered and said to them: "He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. 39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age [aionos], and the reapers are the angels. 40 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age [aionos].

NKJV [EPHESIANS 1:20] Which He worked in Christ when He raised him from the dead and seated him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age [aioni] but also in that which is to come.

Ζωη αιωνιος eternal life, which occurs 42 times in the N.T., but not in LXX, (Septuagint) is not endless life, but life pertaining to a certain age or aeon, or continuing during that aeon. I repeat, life may be endless. The life in union with Christ is endless, but the fact is not expressed by αιωνιος . . . (p. 60, vol. IV, Vincent's Word Studies of the New Testament)

AIDIOS means unending; eternal; forever; etc. but AION pertains to an age in time.

What this thread has evolved into is the fact that many modern (including KJV) Bibles mis-translate AION and has subsequently caused total confusion among Christians as to what the scriptures really say.
