As most of you are aware, we had a crash to forums and were down for over two days a while back. We did have to do an upgrade to the vbulletin software to fix the forums and that has created changes, VB no longer provide the hybrid or threaded forums. There are some issues/changes to the forums we are not able to fix or change. Also note the link address change, please let friends and posters know of the changed link to the forums. For now this is the only link available, https://forums.carm.org/vb5/ but if clicking on forum on carm.org homepage it will now send you to this link. (edited to add https: now working.

Again, we are working through some of the posting and viewing issues to learn how to post with the changes, you will have to check and test the different features, icons that have changed. You may also want to go to profile settings, since many of the notifications, information in profile, also to update/edit your avatar by clicking on avatar space, pull down arrow next to login for user settings.

Edit to add "How to read forums, to make it easier."
Pull down arrow next to login name upper right select profile, or user settings when page opens to profile, select link in tab that says Account. Then select/choose options, go down to Conversation Detail Options, Select Display mode Posts, NOT Activity, that selection of Posts will make the pages of discussions go to last post on last page rather than out of order that happens if you choose activity threads. Then be sure to go to bottom and select SAVE Changes in your profile options. You can then follow discussions by going through the pages, to the last page having latest responses. Then click on the other links Privacy, Notifications, to select viewing options, the forums get easier if you open all the tabs or links in your profile, user settings and select options. To join Super Member, pull down arrow next to login name, select User Settings and then click on tab/link at top that says Subscriptions.

Thank you for your patience and God Bless.

    Evangelical Registration Private Forums
    12-22-09, 12:05 AM edited 11-15-2016

Directions to Register for the Evangelical private rooms, if you agree to the statement of faith below, then now on the new forums you must PM Diane S or email, carmdiane@yahoo.com and request admission to Evangelical forums, stating you agree to the Evangelical Statement and give your user name. Please post in Subject line of email, "Join Evangelical Forum."

    Evangelical Board Statement of Faith

The purpose of the Evangelical forums is to provide a place where evangelicals may discuss issues of theology, discipleship, evangelism amongst themselves without the nearly constant interruption from critics that occurs throughout the other forums on CARM. Access to the board is granted only after you affirmed the following statement of faith. We hope that the wording of the thirteen points comprising the statement of faith are firm enough that persons from a different religion or faith than evangelical Christianity cannot affirm them, yet loose enough so that all evangelicals from throughout the Body of Christ may participate in the Evangelical Forum.

In order to qualify for being able to post on the Evangelical Board, you must agree to the following statement of faith.
    1. The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men and the Divine and final authority for Christian faith and life.
    2. That there is but one true God in all existence, in all places, and in all time, who is the Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons. God is a Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
    3. That Jesus Christ is presently true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross, a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.
    4. That Jesus will return bodily to this world to fulfill His ministry and calling as God and Lord.
    5. That the Holy Spirit, like the Father and the Son, has a will, can grieve, love, hate, and is worthy of all worship and honor.
    6. That the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and to convict men, regenerate the sinner, indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service.
    7. That man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is, therefore, lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
    8. That the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only grounds for justification and salvation for all people. This justification and salvation is obtained by grace through faith alone for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ, by faith, are born of the Holy Spirit and, thus become children of God.
    9. That water baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances to be observed by the Church during the present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means of salvation or necessary for salvation.
    10. That the true Church is composed of all such persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the Body of Christ of which He is the Head.
    11. In the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord; of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment which will not end.
    12. That the Lord and God possess an exhaustive foreknowledge of all things potential as well as actual and that there is nothing God does not know.
    13. You agree that homosexual/lesbian acts are sin as is pedophilia, incest and beastiality. Evangelical posters permitted in this group are pro life personally/politically and do not approve of homosexual marriage.

If you agree to the SOF, you will then email as stated above then when you are admitted will be able to view the Evangelical forums. After that, when you log in next time (or after she gives you access which may take a day or so), you will then see the Evangelical Forums in the MAIN menu under Evangelical.

Diane is the administrator of the Evangelical Board and will grant you posting privileges for that board and other forums in the Evangelical section, should you have any difficulties please email Diane at carmdiane@yahoo.com. Again remember to PM or email and request access to the Evan Forums.

Be aware, this forum is not just for Evangelicals, you may see posts requiring correction. The Evangelical boards are listed in a separate section.

Edited info above to change process on new forums to register for Evangelical boards.
      * "But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith," (1 Tim. 1:5).
      * "Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. 6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned, as it were, with salt, so that you may know how you should respond to each person," (Col. 4:5-6). NASB
