As most of you are aware, we had a crash to forums and were down for over two days a while back. We did have to do an upgrade to the vbulletin software to fix the forums and that has created changes, VB no longer provide the hybrid or threaded forums. There are some issues/changes to the forums we are not able to fix or change. Also note the link address change, please let friends and posters know of the changed link to the forums. For now this is the only link available, https://forums.carm.org/vb5/ but if clicking on forum on carm.org homepage it will now send you to this link. (edited to add https: now working.

Again, we are working through some of the posting and viewing issues to learn how to post with the changes, you will have to check and test the different features, icons that have changed. You may also want to go to profile settings, since many of the notifications, information in profile, also to update/edit your avatar by clicking on avatar space, pull down arrow next to login for user settings.

Edit to add "How to read forums, to make it easier."
Pull down arrow next to login name upper right select profile, or user settings when page opens to profile, select link in tab that says Account. Then select/choose options, go down to Conversation Detail Options, Select Display mode Posts, NOT Activity, that selection of Posts will make the pages of discussions go to last post on last page rather than out of order that happens if you choose activity threads. Then be sure to go to bottom and select SAVE Changes in your profile options. You can then follow discussions by going through the pages, to the last page having latest responses. Then click on the other links Privacy, Notifications, to select viewing options, the forums get easier if you open all the tabs or links in your profile, user settings and select options. To join Super Member, pull down arrow next to login name, select User Settings and then click on tab/link at top that says Subscriptions.

Thank you for your patience and God Bless.

It is time to come out of your sleep and open your eyes and SEE!
Who is the One coming to father Abram/Abraham in this verse?:

Gen 15:1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

2 And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?

3 And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.

4 And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
    KJV

Your answer should be THE WORD is the One who came to him and that is Jesus, the Word who became flesh and dwelt among us... notice he is called "Lord" God even because he is the Word of the LORD.

1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
    KJV

    1 John 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

2(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us: )
    KJV

Rev 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
    KJV

The purpose of my posts are not to cause bicker or division, but to show truth from the scripture for edifying of the soul. It does not matter what we think, it is what God's Word says that matters.

Muslims do believe that Jesus is the Messiah. The Koran very plainly teaches that Jesus is "al-Masih" (the Messiah). No other figure in Islam has that title. Not even Mohammad. Yet Christians ignore or deny the fact that Jesus is the Messiah in Islam.

Interesting, I did not know that. What role does the messiah play in Islam? Christians believe the messiah came to redeem them from their sins, Jews believe in a warrior king who will redeem them from oppressors, not sin. What about Islam?

Then why do they not do what he taught? Why do they not become one in the body of Christ through baptism and be saved, and begin their new way of life by allowing the Word to cleanse them so they go and sin no more?

Believe it or not, even demons know that Jesus is the Son of God, but they are not saved. Believing and receiving are two different things. One can see a sign that says"Don't do this" and they believe it, but they do not automatically receive it for them to do.

Mark 3:11 And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
        KJV

Luke 4:41 And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.
        KJV

Christianity is not just a religion, but is God's gift to us being His Spirit that works within us to write His Word upon our hearts to learn to be doers of His Word, not just readers of it with no change.
A law can not change men, but the Spirit to guide us can.

UNFORTUNATELY the ISLAMIC use of the Word: "Messiah" is MEANINGLESS, because they Deny the Crucifixion of Isa as the perfect SIN OFFERING alluded to in Isaiah.

So while they mindlessly apply THEIR VERSION of the term "Messiah" to Isa, they DENY His role as SAVIOR to release them from their SIN.

Worse yet, they see NO USE for a Savior, since they're convinced by their false religious system that they must EARN their salvation through their own filthy works.

Christians are, therefore, TOTALLY ACCURATE in claiming that ISLAMICS have no Biblical "Messiah" even though they ignorantly use that term for Isa, even as they deny His significance, and His Ministry.

In Islam the Messiahs role is to establish God's kingdom on earth

Muslims believe he returns in the last days to defeat the anti Christ and establish and rule a kingdom dedicated to the worship of the God of Abraham.

Yet, like with so much else in Islam, its a mere sound. Mohammed knew how to say "al-Masih" but had no clue what it means. MUSLIMS therefore ignore it as the meaningless title it is in Mohammedanism. If any Christian ignores that Mohammed mouthed this sound, he's ignoring mere noise and hot air.

Don't be deceived, this is not accurate. What skorpion is calling "antichrist" here real Muslims call Christians. They teach Jesus is coming back on the day of resurrection to kill all Christians then die himself. Muslims are the real antichrists.

Your post makes zero sense. As if when the verse says "the word of the Lord came to him" I should believe that there are two things, "the word" and "the Lord" as if they are two separate deities? That's just the interpretation of a mind that cannot divorce itself from the idolatrous separation of God into "parts". Then you quote some guy named John who says the same thing you did. I would ask Mr. John the same question. His interpretation of the verse makes no sense and I have no reason to listen to him.
