because it's an old idea that God does everything and a man is nothing.

But He wants sons... and that means, you ventured, you found, you understood...and not because He just gave it all to you..

I think that, if a father wanted his child to love him, he would make sure that the child knew he existed.

And a father that complained about not being loved - or, worse, had a punishment that would only be waived if the child loved him - and did not make sure the child knew existed, would be a childish monster.
