Again, that's your interpretation.
God created the bodies we live in, which is clear from Genesis, but nothing in the scriptures describes a time or a place or how our spirits were made. You all assume it was at birth. I can't accept that because that would mean that God made us the way we are.
Your mormon theology is again
unbiblical, it is so bad, I don't even know where to start
Zechariah 12:1, "The burden of the word of the LORD concerning Israel. Thus declares the LORD who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him" (The Hebrew word here means to mold, form, make, like a potter does pottery)
Romans 5:12, "
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned." (All men are sinners by birth, by choice, and by practice and are subjects of God's wrath, needing salvation)
1 Corinthians 15:45-49
45 So also it is written, "The first MAN, Adam, BECAME a living soul." The last Adam
became a life-giving spirit.
46
However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual.
47 The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly, so also are those who are heavenly.
49 Just as we have borne the image of the earthy, we will also bear the image of the heavenly. (
If you become born again John 3, by Faith)
Matthew 7:21-23
21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven
will enter.
22 "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?'
23 "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART from ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE
lawlessness.' (
Sinners who think they are good!)
Have you ever read the Book of Romans?
It would seem that mormons only read the Bible, looking for isolated Scripture to take out of context and distort in order to support their heretical beliefs
He created some men to be evil and some to be good. They had no choice. That creates an unjust situation in judgment. How can God be just if he made us the way we are and then judge us for the things He made us to do?
Again, do you ever read your Bible?
Psalm 14:1-3
1 The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; There is no one who does good.
2 The LORD has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men To see if there are any who understand, Who seek after God.
3 They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt;
There is no one who does good, not even one.
Romans 3:9-12
9 What then? Are we better than they? Not at all; for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin;
10 as it is written, "THERE IS NONE righteous, NOT EVEN one;
11 THERE IS NONE who understands, THERE IS NONE who seeks for GOD;
12 ALL have turned aside, TOGETHER they have BECOME useless;
THERE IS NONE who does good, THERE IS NOT EVEN one."
Mark 10:17-18
17 As He was setting out on a journey, a man ran up to Him and knelt before Him, and asked Him, "Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"
18 And Jesus said to him, "
Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone.
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1 Timothy 1:15 It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost
of all.
So, no. God didn't create our spirits. What he did, was create a body for our spirits to dwell in. He gave us life that we didn't have before we were born. So, the body is nothing by matter joined to a spirit that has always exited. That joining, body and spirit, makes the soul. So, no. There are not three separate and distinct parts. The spirit is the man, the body connected to the spirit is the same man, the soul is the same man, body and spirit joined.
As usual, Biblical Scripture, taken in context, using the Hebrew and the Greek and the grammar correctly, exposes mormon beliefs as completely unbiblical!
I hope these make those passages more understandable for you.
Can you make sense of what Paul is saying in 1 Timothy 1?
1 Timothy 1:3-17
3 As I urged you upon my departure for Macedonia, remain on at Ephesus so that you may instruct certain men not to teach strange doctrines,
4 nor to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which give rise to mere speculation rather than
furthering the administration of God which is by faith.
5 But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere
faith. (saved by faith alone Galatians 2:16-21)
6
For some men, straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion,
7
wanting to be teachers of the Law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions.
8 But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully,
9
realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers
10 and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching,
11 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted.
12 I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service,
13
even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor. Yet I was shown mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief;
14 and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are
found in Christ Jesus.
15 It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance,
that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all.
16
Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost,
Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life. (
Notice, eternal life is the result of faith, not works)
17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God,
be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
