Correct. You forgot to add that deliberately targeting medical facilities is a war crime. Using starvation as a weapon is a war crime. Failing to take reasonable care to avoid civilian casualties is a war crime. You also forgot that the reason Hamas has support from so many Palestinian civilians is that Israel keeps committing war crimes against them. Israel is the legal entity, the state authority. It has a duty to observe international law even when it's opponents do not. I spent several operational tours fighting terrorists in Northern Ireland. The only way to win is to bring the civilians onto your side. Israel has failed already. Instead of wiping out Hamas, it is creating a new generation of terrorists. With every child killed, ten will grow up to hate Israel. This conflict can never be won on the battlefield. The role of armed forces is to create the conditions where a negotiated peace is possible. That's not what Israel is doing, which is why they will ultimately lose on the ground what they have already lost in public opinion.

What do you think that Hamas wanted to achieve with their terrorist attack in October? Just look around and you will see that they have already succeeded, largely because of the incompetent and stupidly belligerent way that Israel has prosecuted their war.

Israel tries it's best to avoid civilian casualties, but when Hamas uses them as human shields that is hard to do. Hamas started this with their attack on Oct the 7th.

Why is no one calling for Hamas to ceasefire or surrender? Why is all the onus put on the country that was attacked. Israel is the victim here, not Hamas. Are you getting wobbly like Biden on this issue?

Talk to Hamas. Israel is ready for peace; they want to be left alone but the evil Muslims just do not want to leave them be. They gave them Gaza for peace, but that did not turn out so well for the Israelis.

You are making it sound as if the killing of civilians is deliberate, on the part of the IDF. When terrorists use civilians as human shields (as Hamas do), then of course civilians are going to get killed (and Hamas gets propaganda fodder for the gullible).

P.S. If you are genuine about calling for peace, then you should be calling for Hamas to surrender and return the hostages. That would end hostilities immediately.
