SCC v. COJCOLDS Settlement agreement

Ensign Peak is owned and run by the Mormon church. And yes, they broke a law. That’s why they were fined.
Please explain why the penalty was effectively a slap on the wrist.
If the Church "runs" EPA, and EPA did their job, but the Church threw their counsel under the bus, disregarded counsel, etc.then why did the bulk of the penalty go to EPA and not the Church?
You guys seriously have made a mountain out of a molehill.

They’re the same thing, Aaron. On paper, there is an entity called Ensign Peak. But it’s run and funded by the Mormon church. It’s part of the church corporation. So whether the fine was divided or not, the church is paying $5 million for its deception and dishonesty.

No crime, chuckle...

Ensign Peak agreed to settle the SEC’s allegation that it violated Section 13(f) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and Rule 13f-1 thereunder by failing to file Forms 13F and for misstating information in these forms. The Church agreed to settle the SEC’s allegation that it caused Ensign Peak’s violations through its knowledge and approval of Ensign Peak’s use of the shell LLCs.

Paul Feindt conducted the SEC’s investigation under the supervision of Tracy Combs and Tanya Beard of the Salt Lake Regional Office and Laura Metcalfe of the Denver Regional Office.

Ensign Peak is run by the Mormon Presiding Bishopric, with direct supervision and direction by the First Presidency.

True to a certain degree We do believe in delegating, set apart others with keys and right, etc. All have to answer to God or Jesus Christ.

It’s not delegation. They run it. That make all the decisions.
Surly is ... and its delegating not delegation...

It's God Kingdom here on earth... no body runs anything without Gods council and revelation... if something is done out of the norm, then that person will be held responsible for their actions and not Gods.

So God revealed to them that they should hoard earthly fortunes in fake shell accounts, break laws and hide it for 25 years?

It has been revealed to you, I and the Bible that we should accumulate in the storehouse of God our tithes and offerings... this is a truth.

Christ said to use our resources to help those in need. The two commandments He brought us revolve around that. He specifically said not to build up earthly treasure.

You have an article of faith that says you believe in being subject to laws of the land. And yet the mormon church blatantly breaks those laws. There’s a long history of it, starting with Joseph Smith.

Did He ever say not to build a Temple worth a trillion dollars todays money... gotcha. of course its in the bible.

How Much Was Solomon Worth In The Bible?

Israel’s King Solomon had a net worth of $2 trillion ($1.2 trillion) at his peak. King Solomon is said to have received 25 tonnes of gold for each year of his reign in the Bible, which is equivalent to billions of dollars today. Solomon ruled from 970 BC to 931 BC.

Christ said we are His temples now. Not man made ones.

But you know that at one time they did and you also know a temple will be built again in Israel. Shouldn't they be giving it to the poor and not saving it for a temple to be built as we know they are already collecting materials, etc for the NEW Temple...

Why do you always bypass the new covenants?
