How can he be a hero hiding behind his human shields? The western alliance is a joke. They are just trying to give emotional support to him to boost his morale because they are too chicken to face Russia.

The western alliance has in fact come together to place serious sanctions on Russia and to support Ukrainians by taking in 3+ million refuges and providing weapons and other supplies. there are some limitations on what the west can provide since some would be regarded as acts of war, and no one wants WWIII.

Zelensky is in Kyiv, which has been attacked for weeks. He rejected offers to evacuate him to safety.

Wow, must be rich. You cripple not only Russia but western business as well. Nobody wins. These sanctions does not really affect the leaders, but mostly the average non combatant folks who has nothing to do with the war.

The millions of refugees can only be supported for a short period of time. Some generous individuals took them in their homes. But, extra mouths to feed costs money and can only support them for a short period. People also need to pay bills and rent.

It's a miracle Zelensky is still alive. It would be unwise if he remain stubborn and not to evacuate to safety. Unless, he has plans to die a hero and his name be forever etched in stone for future generations to see -- a hero where friends don't even bother to help after so much begging. Yes, no one wants WW3, but Zelensky seems not to get this at all.

Zelensky is either extremely stupid or he knows it's all theater and his life is in no real danger.
