Unforgivable Sins According to Mormonism

Doctrine and Covenants, Section 84:

41 But whoso breaketh this covenant after he hath received it, and altogether turneth therefrom, shall not have forgiveness of sins in this world nor in the world to come.

That sounds like the definition of a son of Perdition.

So, first the person has to have received it.
Then, he has to altogether turn therefrom.

Those things require some definition. But let's suppose, for the sake of argument, that receiving it means that he accepted it and lived it (some people might interpret that to men, knew it without a doubt, but I don't see that in there) and that turning from it means rejecting it and fighting against it. Wouldn't that qualify?

Put Paul or Peter in that position. Wouldn't that be the grounds for being cast into outer darkness forever without the opportunity for forgiveness?

Could you explain how that would differ from this testimony?

Hebrews 6:4-8---King James Version
4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

There is only one unforgivable sin. ONE

The person without the Spirit is unregenerated; IOW, he isn't saved.

Romans 8:9
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Matthew 13
18 “Hear then the parable of the sower: 19 When anyone hears the word of lthe kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the path. 20 As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy, 21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away. 22 As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but rthe cares of the world and tthe deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. 23 As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.”

The one who endures was regenerated.

Philippians1:6

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: …

1 Corinthians 1:8
Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Is this the "one"?

8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

2 Peter 2:20-22---King James Version
20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Yep. That's the one.

If you had a true witness of Jesus Christ and knew it for sure and it was undeniable... well to deny that certainty has crucified Christ again.

I feel that some members my be in jeopardy or even a very small group of those who have left.....

35 Having denied the Holy Spirit after having received it, and having denied the Only Begotten Son of the Father, having crucified him unto themselves and put him to an open shame.

It's a false religion with false gods, so we are blessed to leave it. No one in it has a true witness so that sounds like a scare tactic.

Yes we know that you claimed once to be a active member and were taught the doctrine... I wouldn't worry about all the above since you really never learned the doctrine, hence the immence amount of misinformation you give out...
