Prayer for the lost

Exactly. That's what I said. So if they had not been given or recieved the Spirit they would not have known.

Good job
unless it was revealed to them by someone who did have the spirit

Hello

unbelievers are not given the Spirit

your insistence on this shows you are not a bible believer but a bible denier

Sorry, in order to understand the things of God the Spirit is given just as it says. It's says nothing like what your saying. Another lame attempt to get around what it plainly says.

know. The spirit was given to the apostles so they would receive revelation they could preach to the unconverted

You are still desperately trying to twist scripture

Verse 14, "understand". Verse 8, "understand".

It says nothing like that. Your desperate, your being schooled. Learn

unbelievers are not given the spirit

you do not have a verse which states it and you deny verses that deny it

that makes you the true bible denier
Notice in verse 12 the word recieve?

Let's sum it up. You can neither know or understand the things of God unless it's by the Spirit.

Or do you wish yo remain a Bible denier?

false. the passage never states that

and in fact the bible shows men may believe through the preached word

John 17:20 (KJV 1900) — 20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

Romans 10:14–17 (KJV 1900) — 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Of course they do. They must understand what they are hearing which only comes by The Spirit.

For the sake of others, those dead in trespasses are made alive while in said state; Ephesians 2:5ff. It doesn't have to "make sense" to be true, only carnally-minded humanists lay that criterion on God's ways.

Those of faith simply trust God, and glorify Him in it!

At that point they are saved by grace, raised in Christ, seated with Him in the heavens, granted salvation and faith, and are sealed with the Spirit.

Salvation is Soli Deo Gloria.

Through faith

Ephesians 2:5 (KJV 1900) — 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

to be quickened here is to be saved by grace

verse 5 bolded phrase is more fully expounded in verse 8

Ephesians 2:8 (KJV 1900) — 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

For the sake of others in light of this false teacher, the above is merely humanism dismissing the work of the Spirit in said text.
The above false teacher cannot demonstrate his view from the passage

In the passage the Spirit was given to apostles who then preached to the unconverted

So Peter was wrong when he identified Jesus as the Christ, and Jesus told him that the Father revealed it to him?
Got it.
He didn’t know what he said or what it even meant since Jesus rebuked him right after saying get thee behind me satan. Try reading the context sometime with understanding.

Of course they do. They must understand what they are hearing which only comes by The Spirit.
false and you ignored the scriptures

John 17:20 (KJV 1900) — 20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their (the apostles) word;

from a preacher

John 1:7 (KJV 1900) — 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

through the testimony of john the baptist
