There is no doubt there have been failings on the part of the Churchmen who haven't reported these criminals in their midst and have caused so much harm to children. No doubt. It is being addressed now and structures have changed so that it can't happen again. Pedophiles are an occult phenomenon though. They operate in shadows and present as wolves in sheeps clothing to get near their prey. It will be an ongoing battle for all institutions involving the young.

NonCC's don't acknowledge the good works and mission of the Catholic Church though. It doesn't fit with their narrative of persecution.

Scripture is clear it is more than a failing not to expose sin, it makes those who know and do nothing part of the sin.

Oh the RC balance scale making out their good deeds outweigh the bad. HMMM. Even atheist do good works. You don't get enough pats from the world. I know in this country all those good works are supported by the governments financially.

I certainly wouldn't use that word to describe those who are His and are gathered together for worship, prayer and teaching. I'd use it for the rcc, which isn't about reality and is about being controlled by dictators from afar. 'the church' is those who are His, not a puppet master somewhere far away pulling their strings.

Very sad, but very human. I've heard tales of criminals repeating their crimes because they felt safe in prison, with the ordered regimen. ? Dunno its veracity, but it points out the lengths to which some people will go for security.
