Joe Biden says Pope Francis told him to ‘keep receiving Communion’

u don't know where to find the Scierpture that supports it, that is all

Mt 18:23 speaks of suffering in the next realm that lastss for a time ("until...")

Then there is 1 cor 3:15 that speaks of a man's work for the Lord... and how his work may not be satisfactory 100% (my words) yet he shall be saved... "yet, as through fire"

then ther is the Old Testament psgss...

Completely untrue. Here is the verse.

1 Corinthians 3:15
New American Standard Bible 1995

15 If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

Yep, it's made up nonsense. It says the works are burned up, not the person.

Now here is the context:

1 Corinthians 3: 10-15

10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it. 11 For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, [d]precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test [e]the quality of each man’s work. 14 If any man’s work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward. 15 If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

See, if you include the context of Paul's words, you wouldn't make so many false claims.

Catholics do this kind of bait and switch very often.

What I mean by that is that just because people ponder what Purgatory may be like, it doesn’t change the fact that the Catholic Church teaches that Purgatory exists. So while someone may teach that Purgatory is a certain experience (burning fire) and another person teaches that it’s a different experience (warm shower), that doesn’t entail that the Church is changing it’s teaching. There are a few non-Catholic posters on CARM who act as if what they learned in their Catholic upbringing was absolutely and unequivocally Catholic Dogma and anything that deviates from it now shows that the Church has “changed its teachings”.
Oh well it is easy to pretend that something wasn't unequivocally RC dogma which they never say exactly what unequivocally RC dogma is. It means they can shift the goal posts., whenever they like and pretend it wasn't really dogma. But if you are taught something must be believed and then change it for whatever reasons it means it has changed eg Judas early councils and ECF fathers said he was doomed, now you are a heretic if you say so. Centuries of teaching he is doomed changed overnight. Centuries of Limbo must be believed now it hardly exists, Purgatory was taught to be like hell but you get out, now it is more like a warm shower. But it is okay because we never had an infallible call on that one. By the way they cannot tell you which beliefs are infallible beliefs but they will defend them till the death. That type of teaching is called hypocrisy and we know how Jesus felt about hypocrites.

So people are confused about what it is? That should be proof enough that is not from God. God is not the God of confusion.

Since you mentioned "Catholic Dogma", can you show us poor benighted folks a place where we can see what said dogmas proclaim? Just so we don't make such a silly mistake again.

Yet another RC who can not inform anyone of what the Roman Catholic dogmas ("believe this or go to Hell") are. You'd think that if these dogmas were so important, every Catholic would at least have a list of them! How sad that a Roman Catholic can believe every thing they knew their church taught, yet because they weren't informed of all their church's "believe-it-or-else" dogmas, they'll be sent to Hell by their god.
While there may be an "escape clause" dogmatically defined, if you don't know what the dogmas are, how do you know? Because, apparently, if it isn't officially declared dogma - complete with the "magic words" - it is subject to change.

I agree another great point. I mean surely there could be a table this is a discipline, this is dogma and you MUST believe and it is unchangeable, this is just a teaching and can change when the mood suits, this is a practice. But hey one thing that will not change is that we can put burdens on you that you cannot carry.

Sums up the RCC and its false teachings:

Matt 23:4

They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.
