We believe in the intercession of the saints.
Can you quote to me any apostle who prayed to the Holy Spirit?
So the answer is no, the apostles did not pray to Mary. Scripture says to pray in the spirit. No where does it say to pray in Mary.
Roms 8:26
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Eph 6:18
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Jude 1:20
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
John 4;24
God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.
So many verses about the Spirit and pray. Not one about Mary.
I think we can believe Paul and others say to pray in the Spirit, they did it. I am sure they were doers of the word. (James 1:22)
But no prayers to dead Mary or any other dead person. No prayer in Mary either. No nothing about Mary.
Throughout scripture we are told it is God who takes away our sickness and problems. Yep you got it no mention of Mary.
Deut 7:15
And the Lord will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.
Psalm 34:19
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
Heb 4:16
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
So many verses and yes you are right not one mention of praying to Mary.
